Azbil Launches Advanced Electromagnetic Flowmeters

Azbil Corporation has unveiled its latest MagneW PLUS+ electromagnetic flowmeters, engineered to measure a variety of liquids, including water, chemicals, slurries, and corrosive substances.

The standard model of these flowmeters features a mirror-smooth PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) liner, renowned for its resistance to adhesion, ensuring exceptional durability even with prolonged use. These flowmeters are available in both integrated and remote types, and they are suitable for various environments, including explosion-proof and outdoor settings.

Key Features of Azbil’s Magnetic Flowmeters

The MagneW PLUS+ flowmeters come with several innovative features designed to enhance performance, reliability, and versatility in diverse applications.

Enhanced Performance and Stability

The new model significantly improves performance by reducing flow noise by 3.5 times compared to previous versions, thereby offering superior stability in noisy conditions. The flowmeters also provide reliable measurements for specific applications, thanks to features like the excitation frequency change function, optional auto spike cutoff setting, travel averaging, and manual zero adjustment.

Improved Data Management

Azbil’s flowmeters now include an enhanced factory data memory function. Besides the serial number and production date on the product tag plate at shipment, maintenance mode allows for easy status checking. Electronic data backups ensure that even hard-to-read tag plate information is accessible.

High-Speed Batch Function

A high-speed response function, with a damping time constant of 0.1 seconds, is available as an option. This function supports high-speed batch applications with a pulse frequency of up to 3000 hertz.

Standard Communication Compatibility

The new flowmeters are compatible with HART and CommPad communicators as a standard feature. They support communication superimposed on the analog signal, which can be utilised by selecting the HART communicator function.
